Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Odom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Trenchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Odom! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Trenchard! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Odom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trenchard. Odom tries to counter by clinching up but Trenchard breaks away and moves out of range. Odom darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Trenchard manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Odom keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Odom tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Trenchard just stands there and leans against the cage. Odom jumps guard and drags Trenchard to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Odom looking for a sweep. Not yet Odom, not yet. Odom could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round. Odom wants to stand and escape but Trenchard is having none of it. Odom is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Trenchard wants to control from the top but Odom keeps moving. Odom knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Trenchard on the ground. Trenchard sitting in guard, not really doing much. Trenchard preventing the sweep. Trenchard drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trenchard jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Odom is looking to sweep but instead, Trenchard has passed into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Trenchard is thwarting Odom's attempts to control the position. Trenchard seems to be looking for submissions.
Trenchard trying to mount his opponent but Odom defends it. Odom is not content to let Trenchard control the position. Odom tries to roll over but Trenchard keeps him under control. Trenchard is pressing down on Odom's thigh, looking to free his foot. Odom is holding on for now. Trenchard is thwarting Odom's attempts to control the position. Trenchard is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trenchard stops Odom from getting back to his feet.
Trenchard is trying to control. Odom wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Trenchard tries to pass to full mount but Odom defends it. Odom is not content to let Trenchard control the position. Odom gets full guard. Trenchard drops back for a leg! That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Trenchard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Odom controls Trenchard momentarily but Trenchard frees himself. Odom trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Trenchard wants to pass the guard but Odom is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Odom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Odom wants it to stay on the feet. Odom tries to counter with a takedown but Trenchard is quick to defend against it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Odom doesn't succeed with the takedown and Trenchard counters by clinching up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
James Trenchard dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Trenchard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Odom's waist but Odom gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trenchard off to one side. Odom darts in looking for a takedown but Trenchard gets double underhooks and turns Odom into the cage. And Trenchard tries to counter it with a takedown but Odom pushes his down on his head and steps out. Odom slaps away a takedown attempt from Trenchard, before circling back to the center of the mat. Odom is looking to counter the offense by Trenchard and move into the clinch. Nice sprawl there from Odom as Trenchard shoots in. Lucas Odom has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Trenchard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Trenchard looks to land a left hand but Odom moved out of range nicely. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Trenchard tries to clinch there but Odom circles away.

Odom changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Trenchard misses with a straight right. Odom is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Trenchard. Trenchard will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Lucas Odom is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Trenchard tries for a takedown but Odom sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Trenchard throws a chopping leg kick but Odom manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Odom moves out of range of the body kick from Trenchard.
Odom leaves Trenchard with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Trenchard closes this distance looking for a takedown but Odom circles away. As Trenchard tries to get set, Odom tries to push him back and clinch up but Trenchard manages to avoid the attempt. The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Odom misses with an elbow strike.

Odom jumps guard but Trenchard stands there with Odom around his waist. Odom gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucas Odom will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Let's see if he can advance position further. Odom is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trenchard is trying to work for a kimura but Odom is defending well.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Trenchard is taking a breather. Odom says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Trenchard stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Trenchard shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to James Trenchard. I think Trenchard has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... James Trenchard! In his post fight interview, James Trenchard started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
