Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Odom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Trenchard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas Odom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Alan Glass and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Odom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Trenchard.
Odom tries to counter by clinching up but Trenchard breaks away and moves out of range.
Odom darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Trenchard manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Odom keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Trenchard is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Odom controls Trenchard momentarily but Trenchard frees himself.

Trenchard wants to pass the guard but Odom is keeping the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Odom stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Odom wants it to stay on the feet.

Trenchard throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Odom's waist but Odom gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Trenchard off to one side.

And Trenchard tries to counter it with a takedown but Odom pushes his down on his head and steps out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Lucas Odom will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to James Trenchard.

In his post fight interview, James Trenchard started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
