Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ninja Gaiden!
The judges for this bout are Josh West, Micheangelo Fripello and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaiden has his takedown stuffed
and Beard counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Beard has Gaiden pressed against the cage, preventing Gaiden from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Gaiden drops down looking for an ankle pick but Beard pulls his leg out and moves away.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Gaiden!
Ninja Gaiden seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gaiden throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Beard's waist but Beard gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gaiden off to one side.
Arthur Beard has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ninja Gaiden.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gaiden fails in his attempt to clinch.
Gaiden shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Beard as he avoids it easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gaiden looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Gaiden throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Beard counters with a shoot takedown. Gaiden fights it but they end up in guard.
Beard is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Beard postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Beard has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Gaiden tries to clinch up.
Gaiden shoots in for a takedown but Beard shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Beard moves into the clinch.
Beard prevents the takedown attempt.
Beard manages to break the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Beard rushes Gaiden and presses him up against the cage.
Beard is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gaiden is defending well.
Beard goes for a takedown attempt but Gaiden pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Beard throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Gaiden looks to land a combination. Beard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Gaiden throws a nice looking combination but Beard bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Beard tries to counter with a takedown but Gaiden is quick to defend against it.
Beard really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Beard escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Beard walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Gaiden tries to close the distance and clinch but Beard swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Gaiden fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Gaiden closes the distance and pushes Beard back into the cage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Beard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gaiden misses with a two punch combination.
Gaiden fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Beard seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Gaiden looks winded!
Gaiden swinging wildly here.
It looked like Beard was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Beard circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gaiden throws a right hand that Beard ducks under and follows up with a left that Beard also avoids with ease.
Gaiden rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Beard moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gaiden misses the shot to the body.
Gaiden wants to clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Arthur Beard will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Gaiden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Beard paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gaiden clinches with his opponent.
Beard pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Beard has managed to clinch.
Beard tries to score a body lock takedown but Gaiden shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Gaiden lands a two punch combo.
Beard has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
Beard lands a head kick!
Gaiden misses with a jab, cross combination.
Beard wants to clinch.
Gaiden doesn't manage to clinch there - Beard circles away.

Beard finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Gaiden's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Beard falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:06 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ninja Gaiden!
