Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jorge Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Sheppard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jorge Alves had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. John Sheppard has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Jorge Alves's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sheppard wants to clinch up but Alves keeps it at a distance.
Sheppard forces Alves back against the cage and clinches.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Sheppard just misses with a elbow thrown towards Alves's brow.
Sheppard landing knees to the head.
Alves has had enough of the clinch but Sheppard keeps him there for the moment.
Alves misses with a punch on the inside.

Sheppard tries to land knees in the clinch but Alves avoids the damage to the body.
Sheppard unloads a knee to the mid-section. Alves lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Alves using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Sheppard has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Alves tries for a takedown but Sheppard manages to get underhooks.

Sheppard pulls back and lands a big elbow that stuns Alves! Sheppard unloads with more strikes and Alves sinks to his knees! This one is all over!
