Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, David Dayley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Terry Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tatum tries a head kick but it misses.
A shot to the body from Dayley misses
and Tatum counters with a left and a right that stings Dayley.
Dayley on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Dayley tries to clinch but Tatum moves out of range.
Dayley attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Tatum keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Tatum takes the fight into the clinch.
Dayley is pushing Tatum up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tatum has Dayley pressed against the cage, preventing Dayley from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Dayley tries to pull guard but Tatum forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dayley is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Tatum to keep the fight standing.
Tatum breaks the clinch.
Dayley throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Tatum counters with a two punch combo.
Dayley falls off balance throwing a combination
and Tatum counters with a crisp one two that drops Dayley! Tatum thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Dayley to his feet! Dayley is in big trouble!
Dayley is rocked!
Tatum cracks Dayley with a left hook right on the temple and Dayley goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Tatum lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Dayley is OK!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Terry Tatum!
