Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jc Mcconnell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rae Bae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jc Mcconnell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Rae Bae! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Paul Gruel and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bae lands a lovely overhand right. Bae throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Bae misses with a body kick. Bae drives through and clinches with Mcconnell against the cage.
Mcconnell misses with a hook from the clinch. Mcconnell misses with the head strike.

Mcconnell fails to pull guard.
Mcconnell lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Mcconnell fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcconnell wants a takedown.

Mcconnell seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Bae shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Bae perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Bae is looking to take a break and control but Mcconnell is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Mcconnell is trying to stand.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Mcconnell wants to improve his position but Bae is controlling well.

A close round but Rae Bae will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jc Mcconnell's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bae gets a double leg takedown into Mcconnell's guard. Mcconnell is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Bae dives into side control.
Mcconnell might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcconnell throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
You can see the frustration on Mcconnell's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. A lull in the action here. Mcconnell is trying to control Bae's posture but Bae avoids it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mcconnell is trying to buck Bae off. Mcconnell bucks up and tries to throw Bae off but instead Bae has got his back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Bae just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Bae has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Mcconnell just trying to survive but Bae is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish. Mcconnell turns into Bae and is now in his guard.
Mcconnell gets to his feet. Bae looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Mcconnell slips a straight right by Bae.

Bae pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Bae throws out a loose jab but Mcconnell uses good head movement to avoid it. Bae looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Bae turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bae manages to end up in side control. Mcconnell sneaks out the side door and pushes Bae away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bae has managed to clinch.

And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Rae Bae. I've got Bae winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
