Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Connor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bronson Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hughes has chosen Slam - By: Onyx as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Connor McGregor has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Connor McGregor seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Steve Montenegro and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes misses with a double jab.
McGregor ducks under a wild hook from Hughes.
Hughes misses with a wild body shot.
Hughes avoids the body shot from McGregor.
McGregor throws out a powerful jab.
We've been told by McGregor's head coaches at Roosters Coop that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
McGregor blocks a jab.
It looked like McGregor was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
McGregor fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from McGregor.
Hughes missing with a left hand there. McGregor was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Hughes shoots in and gets a takedown into McGregor's guard.
McGregor keeping full guard, as Hughes tries to pass.
Hughes postures up in McGregor's guard and throws a big left but McGregor blocks it.
Hughes working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Hughes cracks McGregor with a solid left hand.

Hughes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hughes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hughes wants to pass the guard but McGregor is keeping the position.

Hughes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as McGregor works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Hughes prevents McGregor from getting back to his feet.
McGregor will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Hughes throws a strike but McGregor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

McGregor would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

McGregor stands and steps away. Hughes gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Hughes throws a jab when McGregor was well out of range.
Hughes lands with an uppercut that bounces McGregor off the cage and back into range.
Hughes takes one on the chin but seems OK.
McGregor comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A cross from Hughes lands.
Hughes throws the left hand but McGregor avoids the punch easily.
McGregor looks to score with a jab to the body but Hughes is just out of range.

McGregor takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

McGregor tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Hughes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McGregor lands with a kick to the temple. Hughes shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Danga de danga de dang - Hughes scores with a four punch combination!
Hughes connects with an inside leg kick.

McGregor closes the distance and clinches.

Hughes escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hughes throws an uppercut from half a mile away. McGregor sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hughes misses the jab.
A swing and a miss from Hughes.
McGregor throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
McGregor tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
McGregor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
McGregor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hughes might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
Hughes fails with a takedown attempt.
Hughes cracks McGregor with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

McGregor defending well as Hughes loads up on a big left hand.
Hughes misses the shot to the body.
McGregor rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Hughes counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

McGregor throws a right and a left that both miss.

Hughes fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hughes circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hughes scores with a nice body kick.
McGregor lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Connor McGregor is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hughes's corner calls for a 1-2. Hughes obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Hughes jabs McGregor right on the nose. McGregor blinks but takes it well.

McGregor is rocked!
Hughes is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Oh McGregor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McGregor wants to clinch.
Hughes looks to land a right hand but McGregor moved out of range.
Hughes uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before McGregor has time to react.
McGregor throws a hook but Hughes blocks it.

A slow jab from Hughes misses its intended target.

Hughes is looking for a takedown. Wow, that's a brutal slam - McGregor is in big trouble! Hughes is landing strikes from the mount and this one is all over! The ref jumps in to save a confused looking McGregor. Poor guy.
