The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Rubin.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Rubin lands a nice short elbow.
Rubin wants to pass to mount but Garcon is defending the position.

Rubin uses his free foot to push down on Garcon's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Garcon.

Rubin lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Rubin is landing with some decent strikes but Garcon is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Rubin softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Garcon is out cold! Rubin jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Timur Rubin!
Timur Rubin is the new heavyweight champion!
A relieved looking Timur Rubin thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
