Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kostas Mytilinaios (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael Amaral (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mytilinaios comes to the cage accompanied by Sanitarium. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
17 - 10 - 3, fighting out of New York, Kostas Mytilinaios! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
36 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rafael Amaral! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Amaral keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Mytilinaios throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Amaral sees it coming and avoids it easily. Mytilinaios throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Amaral stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Mytilinaios looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Amaral misses with a straight left. Amaral fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Amaral tried to score with a low kick but Mytilinaios checks it. Mytilinaios looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Amaral looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Mytilinaios digs a good hook to Amaral's body.
Mytilinaios lands with an uppercut that bounces Amaral off the cage and back into range. Mytilinaios jabbing away but nothing is landing. Mytilinaios tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amaral was well out of range. Poor timing from Mytilinaios. Mytilinaios changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Amaral looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Mytilinaios wants to control but Amaral is keeping him busy. Amaral is trying to get back to his feet. Mytilinaios is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Amaral is trying to escape and Mytilinaios transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Amaral is forced to tap! Nice work there by Mytilinaios! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Kostas Mytilinaios! Our winner, Kostas Mytilinaios, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Rafael Amaral was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll be back!!!!'.
