Garcia manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paniikki shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Garcia sprawls well. Garcia wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Paniikki gets slowly back to his feet. As Paniikki looks to move away, Garcia throws a big counter combo but Paniikki just gets out of the way. Garcia lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Paniikki backs up against the ropes.
It looks like Pelle Paniikki has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia leaves Paniikki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Garcia seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Paniikki with a lazy takedown attempt and Garcia counters with a series of strikes. Paniikki will be more careful next time no doubt.
Paniikki is rocked! Paniikki with a poor takedown and Garcia counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Paniikki has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!
