PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hot Sauce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Farrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Eric Farrow was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Hot Sauce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Eric Farrow!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sauce throws a sloppy head kick and Farrow moves out of range easily.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Farrow.
You can see the frustration on Sauce's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Sauce gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Farrow scoring with strikes but Sauce is staying in there.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Sauce is trying to stand.
Sauce is trying desperately to improve position.
Farrow breaks from Sauce's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Farrow controlling his opponent.
Farrow has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Farrow looking to secure an arm triangle but Sauce defends it well.
Sauce can't escape the position.
Sauce really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Farrow fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Farrow controlling the position easily from mount.
Farrow is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sauce can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Sauce wants to get back to his feet.
Farrow putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Farrow scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Farrow won't let Sauce get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Farrow lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sauce wants to get back to his feet.
Sauce is breathing heavily.
Farrow sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
I looks like Farrow might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Farrow postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sauce looks a forlorn figure.

Sauce is desperately trying to improve his position but Farrow has a good base and remains in mount.

Farrow fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Farrow has control of Sauce's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Sauce regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Farrow takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Despite being in the dominant position, Eric Farrow just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Farrow shoots in but no luck this time.
Farrow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sauce's waist but Sauce gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Farrow off to one side.
Farrow tries to work over Sauce's front leg with a kick but Sauce checks it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Farrow moves out of range as Sauce throws a body kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eric Farrow dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Nice sprawl there from Sauce as Farrow shoots in.
Sauce misses with a body kick.
Farrow moves away from the strike by Sauce.

Farrow has managed to clinch.
Sauce is trying to break the clinch but Farrow has him pressed against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Farrow using the Thai clinch to land knees to the body.
Farrow lands an elbow inside that Sauce shrugs off.
Farrow crunches a lovely knee into Sauce's ribcage.
Farrow is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Sauce gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Farrow manages to pull guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Farrow is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Farrow sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Farrow distracts Sauce with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sauce being controlled here, momentarily.
Farrow stands and throws Sauce's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Farrow happy to just control the position for now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Farrow lands a few punches from side control.

Farrow is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Sauce is trying to escape and Farrow transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Sauce is forced to tap! Nice work there by Farrow! Very nice indeed!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Eric Farrow!
