Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Matheus Knorr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Knorr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Williams!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knorr shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Williams is defending against the submission attempts here by Knorr.
Knorr seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Williams does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Knorr is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Williams sees it coming and defends easily.

Williams is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Knorr pulls his head out easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knorr seems to be looking for submissions.
Williams flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Williams tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Knorr wants to pass the guard but Williams is defending well.
Williams tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Knorr wants to take a breather but Williams is having none of it.

Knorr is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Knorr is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knorr.
Williams is trying to maintain the position but Knorr is very close to passing his half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Knorr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Williams is just riding it out for now. Knorr eventually gives up the hold.
Knorr works his way into side control.
Williams is trying to control Knorr's posture but Knorr avoids it.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Knorr laying and praying for a moment but Williams takes advantage and regains half guard.
Knorr is looking to stall here but Williams recovers full guard.
Williams looking for a sweep. Not yet Williams, not yet.
Williams not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Knorr drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Knorr as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Williams screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Knorr! Nice submission victory there!
