Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Demetrius Harris (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oleg Kareshnikov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Oleg Kareshnikov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demetrius Harris!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Oleg Kareshnikov!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kareshnikov throws a low kick but Harris moves out of range easily.
Harris thinks about countering with a head kick.
Kareshnikov looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
No luck for Harris with that takedown attempt.
Harris stuffs the takedown.
Kareshnikov tries for a takedown but Harris circles away easily
and Harris counters with a head kick. That will keep Kareshnikov thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Harris ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Harris no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Harris really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kareshnikov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Harris rushes Kareshnikov and presses him up against the cage.

Harris can't get the takedown.

Harris successfully pulls guard.
Kareshnikov throws an elbow that misses. Harris uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kareshnikov's guard. Nice move by Harris!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kareshnikov wants to sweep but no luck.
Harris tries to stand but Kareshnikov is controlling from the bottom.
Harris is in close to Kareshnikov's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Kareshnikov seems keen to control Harris's posture.

Kareshnikov wants to get back to striking at distance but Harris won't allow it.

Harris seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Kareshnikov has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Harris after a bit of a struggle.

Harris jumps guard but Kareshnikov stands there with Harris around his waist. Harris gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Demetrius Harris. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Harris shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kareshnikov as he jumps to the side.

and Harris counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Harris fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kareshnikov, pushing him back against the cage.

Kareshnikov takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Kareshnikov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Harris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Harris can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kareshnikov controls the pace.
Kareshnikov is looking to pass into half guard but Harris pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Harris is in guard.

Kareshnikov wants to sweep here but Harris controlling him for the moment.
Harris is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kareshnikov can do to turn this around?

Kareshnikov is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Kareshnikov wants to stand and escape but Harris is having none of it.
Kareshnikov wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Harris is now in half guard.

Kareshnikov tries to kick Harris off in order to stand up. Harris Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Harris in side control, throwing shots but Kareshnikov defends.
Check out the look on Harris's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Harris takes a little break here. Kareshnikov wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Harris stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Harris wants it to stay on the feet.
Oleg Kareshnikov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
