Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Spyder Grove (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaydee Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grove takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Grove ducks under a wild hook from Silva.
Silva will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
Silva is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Grove wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Silva has Grove pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Silva pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Grove tumbling to the mat - Silva dives into Grove's guard.
Silva is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Grove is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grove manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Grove's guard.
Grove really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva wants to stand but Grove is controlling his posture from full guard.
Grove escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Grove is working an open guard so Silva takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Silva takes the fight into the clinch.
Grove tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.

and Silva counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Grove!

Grove tries to clinch but Silva moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Silva pushes off an fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Silva manages to break the clinch.

and Silva counters with a shoot takedown. Grove fights it but they end up in guard.
Grove is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
Silva tries to free his leg and advance position but Grove is retaining full guard.
Silva tries to stand but Grove is controlling from the bottom.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Silva accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Silva pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Grove is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva gets to his feet. Grove looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Grove circles away quickly and effectively.

and Silva holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Grove breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Grove shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Grove throws a chopping leg kick but Silva manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Grove was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
The fight stays on the outside here - Silva looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nice uppercut there from Grove.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Grove not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Silva drops back looking for a leg! Grove is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grove manages to kick Silva off! Silva jumps back into Grove's guard.
Silva wants to pass the guard but Grove is keeping the position.
Silva content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Grove has locked up a guillotine! Grove's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Silva is holding on here and Grove must be using up a lot of energy. Silva has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Grove gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
