Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jefferson Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucho Paredes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Paredes's choice of entrance music: Somewhere over the rainbow (Kamakawiwoʻole). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jefferson Warren! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucho Paredes! The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Ben Watson and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Warren closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Warren breaks the clinch.
Warren really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Warren!
Paredes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Warren sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Paredes shoots for a double leg takedown but Warren sprawls well. He's pushed Paredes's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Warren lands a jab-cross combination. Paredes closes the distance and clinches up with Warren, looking for a takedown. Paredes pushes Warren against the cage but Warren circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Warren tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Paredes manages to circle out of the way. Jefferson Warren has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lucho Paredes. Warren closes the distance and clinches. Warren gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Paredes is looking for a triangle but Warren pushes his legs off easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Warren controls from within his opponent's guard. Warren wants to stand but Paredes has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Warren stands up from Paredes's guard - Warren perhaps looking for a knockout. Paredes gets tackled into the cage by Warren. Warren maintains the clinch. Paredes is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Warren to keep the fight standing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Warren is trying to force a seperation but Paredes has the dominant position. Warren prevents a takedown attempt there.

Warren decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Paredes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Warren defends well and Paredes ends up having to push Warren into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Warren throws a head kick but Paredes moves out of range.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Warren gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Paredes.
Warren pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Paredes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Warren sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Paredes looks winded! Paredes tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Warren swivels and escapes. Warren tries to counter by clinching up but Paredes breaks away and moves out of range. Warren moves into range and clinches up with Paredes. Warren manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Warren has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Warren looking to hit a scissor sweep but Paredes is one step ahead there. Warren has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Paredes off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Warren closes the distance and clinches. Paredes is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Warren pulls him back up using the underhooks. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Paredes is breathing heavily. Warren escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Paredes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Jefferson Warren is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Paredes gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Warren moves into the clinch. Warren breaks the clinch.

As Paredes tries to get set, Warren tries to push him back and clinch up but Paredes manages to avoid the attempt. Warren closes the distance and clinches.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Warren pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Warren gets caught flat footed, as Paredes shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Warren manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Paredes tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Warren just stands there and leans against the cage. Warren breaks from the clinch.
Warren moves into the clinch. Jefferson Warren has scored more points in the clinch so far. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Warren's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Warren. Warren is trying to drag Paredes to the mat but Paredes just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Warren jumps into guard, dragging Paredes to the mat.
Jefferson Warren is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Warren pushes Paredes off and gets back to his feet.
And that's the end of the fight! Jefferson Warren showed his dominance in that final round. Well Warren has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
