Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lesley Dunlap!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamal Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson moves into range and clinches up with Dunlap.

Jackson pulls Dunlap into guard.
Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlap is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Dunlap will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Jackson lands some strikes from the bottom.
Dunlap has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Dunlap prevents Jackson from getting back to his feet.
Jackson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Jackson trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Dunlap distracts Jackson with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Dunlap postures up in Jackson's guard and throws a big left but Jackson blocks it.
Dunlap working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson has his hands on Dunlap's head, controlling the position.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dunlap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Dunlap lands a couple of elbows.

Dunlap is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jackson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Dunlap.

Dunlap gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Jackson is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Dunlap's half guard.

Dunlap pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jackson prevents Dunlap from getting back to his feet.

Jackson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dunlap. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dunlap has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Jackson off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Jackson drives through and clinches with Dunlap against the cage.

Dunlap stalls.

Jackson tightens his grip and picks Dunlap up, before dumping him to the ground. Dunlap manages to land in guard.

Dunlap wriggles free and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Dunlap closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jackson did well to prevent Dunlap getting side control.
Dunlap seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Jackson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Dunlap thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Jackson manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Dunlap wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.

Jackson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dunlap looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Dunlap throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lesley Dunlap dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Dunlap is looking to clinch.
Sloppy strikes from Jackson. Those never looked like landing.
Lesley Dunlap is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jackson clinches with his opponent.
Dunlap controlling the action here for a moment.

Jackson breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jackson has Dunlap up against the cage in a clinch.
Dunlap drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Jackson ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jackson no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dunlap throws an elbow that misses. Jackson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Dunlap's guard. Nice move by Jackson!

Dunlap wants to get back to his feet but Jackson is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dunlap trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Jackson stays in close to Dunlap's body and controls the position.
Jackson won't allow Dunlap to sweep him here.

Jackson makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Dunlap manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jackson manages to get himself to full guard.

Jackson utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Dunlap drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Jackson manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Dunlap has Jackson in his guard.


Dunlap pushes Jackson off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Jackson.

Jackson manages to break the clinch.

Jackson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Dunlap pushes Jackson off and gets back to his feet.

Jackson gets a double leg takedown into Dunlap's guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jackson tries to stand but Dunlap is controlling from the bottom.

Jackson stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Dunlap throws up his legs and catches Jackson in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Jackson tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Dunlap! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Lesley Dunlap!
