Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, King Yang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Justin Carpe! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carpe gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Yang jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Carpe walks away with a smile on his face. Yang gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Carpe!
It looks like King Yang has been cut. Carpe scores with a jab to the body. Carpe closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Yang! Carpe dives in looking to finish! Yang is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Justin Carpe! Justin Carpe was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
