Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Steiner! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Money McMillion! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steiner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McMillion tries to avoid it but Steiner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McMillion to the ground. McMillion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. McMillion misses with a few strikes there.
Steiner needs to keep his hands up - McMillion had a free shot at his head there. Steiner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McMillion is fending him off so far but Steiner persists. Nope, McMillion circles away and we're back to standing. Steiner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McMillion as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Steiner. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steiner shoots in and drives through. McMillion sprawls well. Steiner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McMillion as he jumps to the side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steiner. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Steiner. McMillion clinches. Steiner tries to pull guard but McMillion holds him up against the ropes and eventually Steiner drops back down to his feet.
McMillion will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Steiner up against the ropes. Steiner fails to pull guard.
McMillion lands a shoulder strike. Steiner jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as McMillion walks away with a smile on his face. Steiner gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. McMillion misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Steiner throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around McMillion's waist but McMillion gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Steiner off to one side. A right-left combo lands from McMillion.
It looks like Mark Steiner has been cut. Steiner is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steiner closes this distance looking for a takedown but McMillion circles away. McMillion clinches with his opponent.

McMillion breaks the clinch.
McMillion has closed the distance and engaged Steiner in a clinch.
McMillion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McMillion moves into the clinch successfully.

Steiner tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. McMillion just stands there and leans against the ropes. McMillion lands an uppercut. McMillion lands a knee to the head.

Steiner jumps guard but McMillion stands there with Steiner around his waist. Steiner gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
McMillion manages to break the clinch.

Steiner striking off his back but it's not causing McMillion any problems. McMillion looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. McMillion stands up from Steiner's guard - McMillion perhaps looking for a knockout. McMillion throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Steiner. Steiner changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McMillion tries to avoid it but Steiner manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McMillion to the ground. McMillion escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Steiner shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with McMillion but McMillion pushes him off and we're back to square one. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nice cross by McMillion.

Steiner shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts McMillion as he jumps to the side. Steiner tries for a takedown but McMillion sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. McMillion scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Steiner shoots in for a double leg but McMillion sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Mark Steiner seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McMillion has taken the fight to the clinch.
McMillion throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Steiners head. Steiner tries to pull guard but McMillion won't allow it.
McMillion displaying some good clinch control by pressing Steiner up against the ropes. McMillion digs a right hand into Steiner's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Steiner's gas tank. McMillion softening up his opponent with strikes, against the ropes. Steiner fails to pull the fight into his guard.
McMillion gets through Steiner's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Steiner tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
McMillion has Steiner pressed against the ropes.
McMillion manages to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A left and a right from McMillion both land. Nice combination. McMillion cracks Steiner with an open hand slap. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. McMillion throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Steiner.
Steiner is rocked! McMillion with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Oh Steiner is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! McMillion is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Steiner flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Steiner is out cold! McMillion holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Money McMillion! Money McMillion is the new featherweight champion!
