Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paul Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dadhri Senchai! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Senchai is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Johnson. Johnson tries to clinch but Senchai moves out of range. Johnson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Senchai paws at him with a jab and circles away. Johnson gets tackled into the cage by Senchai. Senchai maintains the clinch. Senchai is trying to push Johnson away but Johnson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Senchai pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Johnson wants to clinch. Johnson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Senchai throws a right and a left that both miss. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Senchai scores with a sloppy right hand. Johnson should have avoided that one. Senchai gets a clinch. A nice glancing elbow lands by Johnson.
It looks like Dadhri Senchai has been cut. Senchai drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Senchai throws a body kick that misses. Senchai swats away the attempt to clinch by Johnson. Senchai clinches up against the cage. Johnson trying to stall but Senchai improves his position.
Senchai looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Johnson blocks an elbow strike from Senchai.
Senchai lands a knee to the head.
Senchai jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Senchai around his waist. Senchai gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Paul Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dadhri Senchai. Senchai tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson avoiding damage as Senchai throws knees to the body.
Johnson lands an elbow inside. Johnson gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Johnson. Johnson trying to stall but Senchai improves his position.
Johnson blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Senchai misses with a knee to the head. Senchai lands an elbow inside. Johnson is stalling here.
Johnson lands an elbow inside. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Johnson lands a damaging elbow.
That has opened up Dadhri Senchai's cut even more.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Johnson creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Senchai's defenses. Senchai tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Senchai is trying to break free. Johnson lands an elbow just above Senchai 's eye. Senchai creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses. Senchai misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Johnson.

Senchai tries to land knees in the clinch but Johnson avoids the damage to the body. Senchai wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Johnson is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Senchai wants a takedown.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Johnson is looking to control Senchai's arms but Senchai gets an underhook and turns him. Now Johnson has his back to the cage. Senchai tries to break the clinch but Johnson is controlling the position. Johnson is trying to stall.
Johnson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The cut above Dadhri Senchai's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Johnson lands a damaging elbow. Johnson lands an elbow inside that Senchai shrugs off.
Dadhri Senchai's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Senchai jumps guard but Johnson stands there with Senchai around his waist. Senchai gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Dadhri Senchai's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
