PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Amish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Harrison (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Harrison has chosen God's Gonna Cut You Down as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lance Amish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, William Harrison!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amish has taken the fight to the clinch.
Harrison blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Amish lands a knee to the head.

Amish breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Harrison looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Amish is fending him off so far but Harrison persists. Nope, Amish circles away and we're back to standing.
Amish has his takedown stuffed

and Harrison counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Harrison.
Harrison passes Amish's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Harrison trying to mount his opponent but Amish defends it.
Amish tries to kick Harrison off in order to stand up. Harrison Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Amish knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Harrison on the ground.
Amish is trying to improve his position.
Harrison tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

Harrison tries to advance to mount but Amish denies him.

Harrison wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Amish, who protects the arm well.

Harrison swings around for an armbar but Amish sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Harrison's guard.
Amish tries to free his leg and advance position but Harrison is retaining full guard.
Amish won't allow Harrison to sweep him here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Harrison has an active guard here but Amish has managed to pass into half guard.
Harrison moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Harrison lands a decent shot there.

Harrison is looking for a triangle but Amish pushes his legs off easily.
Amish preventing the sweep.
Amish wants to get up but he can't break Harrison's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Harrison wants to sweep but no luck.
Amish passes Harrison's left leg - he's now in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Harrison regains full guard. Nicely done.
Amish is breathing heavily.
Amish trying to control the position from guard on top but Harrison is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amish is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Harrison is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Harrison is trying to keep Amish in close.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Harrison is on top in guard.

Harrison drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Harrison jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Harrison fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Amish thuds his shin into the meat of Harrison's side.
Amish wants to clinch

and Harrison counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Amish's guard now.
Harrison wants to control from the top but Amish keeps moving.
Harrison stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Amish swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Harrison slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Amish is looking to stand up but Harrison isn't so interested in that idea.

Harrison is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

Harrison looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Amish!

Harrison with a couple of short strikes.

Amish is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Harrison locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Amish is forced to tap!
