Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Greg Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shape Shifter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Coleman comes to the cage accompanied by I Mother Earth - Not Quite Sonic. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Greg Coleman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Shape Shifter! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Coleman ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Shifter moves away. Coleman scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Shifter throws a leg kick but Coleman moved away. Coleman jabbing away but nothing is landing. Coleman lands with an overhand left. Shifter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Coleman swings for the body but Shifter moves out of range.
Coleman throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Coleman swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Coleman connects with an inside leg kick. Coleman throws a leg kick but Shifter sees it coming and checks it nicely. That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman throws a low kick, looking for Shifter's leg but Shifter calmly moves out of range. The fight moves into the clinch position. Coleman working aggressively here.

Shifter has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Coleman regains guard immediately. Shifter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Shifter has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Shifter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Coleman dives on top into guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Coleman's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Shifter had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Coleman defends it easily. Shifter wants to sweep but no luck. Coleman stays in close to Shifter's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman stopping the sweep attempt from Shifter. Shifter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Shifter is looking for a triangle here but Coleman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Shifter is trying to get back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shifter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Coleman prevents Shifter from improving his position. Coleman seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shifter is trying to get back to full guard. Shifter keeps trying to improve his position. Coleman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Coleman prevents Shifter from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Coleman in particular looking to stall. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Coleman tries to stand and escape but Shifter is controlling the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Greg Coleman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Coleman throws a chopping leg kick but Shifter manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Coleman throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Coleman drives through and clinches with Shifter against the cage.
Coleman is defending well against a takedown attempt. Shifter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Coleman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Shifter tries for a takedown but Coleman manages to get underhooks.
Greg Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shape Shifter. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Shifter has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Coleman avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Shifter goes for a takedown attempt but Coleman pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Shifter drives through and clinches with Coleman against the cage.

Greg Coleman dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Shifter gets a clinch. Shifter is trying to pull guard but Coleman turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Coleman gets through Shifter's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Shifter ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Shifter no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Shifter looking to hit a scissor sweep but Coleman is one step ahead there. Shifter is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Coleman is aware though and is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Shifter is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Coleman stands and throws Shifter's legs to the side, diving into side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Shifter is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Coleman decides to stand back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Coleman throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Coleman tries to close the distance and clinch but Shifter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Shifter slips under a jab. Coleman throws a leg kick but Shifter sees it coming and moves out of range. Shifter instigates a clinch. A short right from Coleman on the inside. Coleman throws a punch but it's blocked by Shifter. Coleman fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Coleman prevents a takedown attempt there.
Shifter pulls Coleman into guard.
Coleman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shifter can do to turn this around? Shifter is looking for a triangle here but Coleman uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Coleman slows the pace down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Coleman decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shifter to his feet. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Coleman.
A low kick from Coleman is predictable there and Shifter counters with an outside leg kick.
Shifter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coleman paws at him with a jab and circles away. Coleman lands a right hook to the body.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Coleman throws a head kick that misses. Coleman darts in and clinches Shifter up against the cage. Coleman lands an uppercut. Shifter is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Greg Coleman has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shape Shifter. Coleman can't find room to land a body shot as Shifter controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Shifter blocking some punches.
Shifter jumps guard but Coleman stands there with Shifter around his waist. Shifter gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Shifter is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Coleman can't fight it off and eventually Shifter manages to take the fight to the floor. Coleman looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Shifter throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Coleman works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Shifter loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Shifter looking to pass the guard. Shifter drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Shifter as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Coleman screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Shifter! Nice submission victory there!
