Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lamar Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Hashimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hashimoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Tomoki Hasegawa - Lemon Song. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lamar Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Takeshi Hashimoto! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Allen fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Hashimoto. Hashimoto shoots in but Allen avoids the takedown attempt easily. Allen getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Allen stuffs the takedown attempt from Hashimoto. Hashimoto gets slowly back to his feet. A quick step to the side and Allen tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. That kick from Allen tenderised Hashimoto's leg. Hashimoto is trying to keep his angry face on. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hashimoto slips under a jab from Allen. Allen feints and as Hashimoto raises his hands in defense, Allen changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Allen throws a big elbow that misses. Hashimoto utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen with a flurry of punches that miss. Allen throws a strike but Hashimoto rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Allen wants to control the position but Hashimoto says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Hashimoto wants to stand up but Allen has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hashimoto controlling the action here. Allen trying to hold on to Hashimoto's head to control him but Hashimoto postures up.
Allen tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Hashimoto has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto controlling from the full mount. Allen wants to hold on but Hashimoto pushes him away. Allen regains half guard. Hashimoto is trying to control the action in half guard but Allen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hashimoto prevents Allen from improving his position. Allen regains full guard. Nicely done. Hashimoto sitting in guard here, content to control. Allen is looking for a triangle here but Hashimoto uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Hashimoto looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Allen is avoiding damage well.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Allen is trying to control Hashimoto's posture but Hashimoto avoids it. Hashimoto tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. You can see the frustration on Allen's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Allen is looking to regain half guard here but Hashimoto keeps moving and retains side control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hashimoto ducks under a wild hook from Allen. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lamar Allen dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Allen digs a good body shot into Hashimoto's ribs. Hashimoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Allen scores with a hook. Hashimoto tries to sprawl but Allen drives through with a takedown into half guard. Allen slips a nice elbow through Hashimoto's hands, connecting with Hashimoto's forehead. Allen missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Allen is keen to just control but Hashimoto is a slippery customer. Hashimoto is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Allen scores with a couple of nice shots. Allen not landing any meaningful shots this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Hashimoto wants to control but Allen is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Allen seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Hashimoto is rocked! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Allen lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Hashimoto is still in real trouble! Can Allen finish him? Allen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Hashimoto is just riding it out for now. Allen eventually gives up the hold. Hashimoto avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Allen. Allen scores with a big shot! Hashimoto's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Hashimoto! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
