Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matheus Knorr!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Xavior Reo!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Reo stuffs the takedown attempt from Knorr. Knorr gets slowly back to his feet.
Reo steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.

Knorr looking to score a takedown here. Reo is defending well but Knorr drives through and ends up in Reo's guard.
Reo keeping moving, preventing Knorr from controlling successfully.
Knorr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Reo swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Knorr pulls Reo in close to prevent any damage.

Knorr isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Reo stacks Knorr on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Reo!

Knorr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Reo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Reo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Knorr has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Reo has managed to get both his arms back between Knorr's legs - danger averted.
Reo wants to control from the top but Knorr keeps moving.

Knorr is trying to pull guard but Reo turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Knorr is pushing down on Reo's leg trying to pass to half guard. Reo is fighting to maintain full guard but Knorr has managed to sneak the leg through.

Knorr tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Knorr working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Knorr looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

Knorr works to advance to full mount. Reo defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Knorr fails to advance to Reo's back.

Knorr wants to finish this one by submission but Reo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Knorr.
Knorr mounts Reo! Really nice guard pass there!
Reo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Knorr content just to control the position here.

Knorr is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Knorr!

Xavior Reo was interviewed post fight and said 'I was so drained leading up to and into this fight I just had no energy to get the win. I was on different energy pills from PIT BULL DEVELOPMENTS and they did not help at all. Sorry everyone'.
