Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Quentin Cane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alistair King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Senorita as his entrance music. Quentin Cane could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Alistair King's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Quentin Cane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Alistair King! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cane tries to clinch but King moves out of range. Cane wants to clinch. Cane tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but King paws at him with a jab and circles away. Cane fails with an attempt to clinch.
Cane doesn't manage to clinch there - King circles away.
Cane shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Cane trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Cane stays in close to King's body and controls the position. King had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Cane is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. King Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Cane's back instead. King is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane defends a prolonged rear naked choke attempt and turns nicely into his opponent's guard. King is looking for a triangle but Cane pushes his legs off easily.
Cane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cane drops back looking for a leg! King is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and King manages to kick Cane off! Cane jumps back into King's guard. King keeping moving, preventing Cane from controlling successfully. Cane slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cane accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. King working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Cane has passed into half guard!
King is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cane pulls his head out easily. King looks gassed! Cane is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Cane lands a nice short elbow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Still in half guard, Cane seems content to control. Ground and pound from Cane. Cane drops an elbow to the side of King's head. Cane takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Cane is nestled in close to King, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Cane keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Cane is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and King defends it well. King tries to get to full guard but Cane has control of the leg. Cane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
King actively working from the bottom here. Cane tries to stand but can't do so whilst King controls his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cane working over King with some ground and pound. King looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Cane is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Cane wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cane tries to clinch up. King misses with a takedown attempt and Cane counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Cane tries to clinch but King is having none of it. Cane closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. King taking punishment in the form of punches.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quentin Cane dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
King circles away from the clinch attempt.
King shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Cane counters with a single leg into guard. King didn't expect that. King is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Cane is working King over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Cane wants to pass the guard but King is keeping the position. Cane lands a couple of decent looking shots. Cane keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of King's head. Cane wants to control from the top but King keeps moving. King looking for subs off his back but Cane has passed one foot through into half guard.
King is breathing heavily. Cane is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cane works his way into side control. Cane tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. King is trying to get back to half guard. Cane taking a breather here. King gets back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. King actively working from the bottom here. Quentin Cane overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cane is working for a kimura but King is defending it quite comfortably.
Cane scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Cane wants to work for an arm triangle but King is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Cane works his foot free and advances to mount. King tries to reverse the position but Cane maintains control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. King is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Cane landing strikes from the mount and King is in trouble! Cane lands a nice shot to the head. Cane punishing his opponent with strikes. King is squirming around, avoiding Cane's attempts to control the action. King tries to get back to half guard but can't. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Cane cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Cane has control of King's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and King regains control of the situation pretty easily.
King is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Cane with a couple of short strikes. Cane lands a big shot there that rocks King but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
King is trying to escape the mount.
Cane controlling his opponent. Cane seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down King for as long as he can get away with. King is in all sorts of trouble here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Quentin Cane dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
King avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Cane fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
King tries to close the distance and clinch up but Cane swats him away and circles back towards the center. King misses with a takedown attempt and Cane counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Cane. Cane makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Cane trying to control but King is working from the bottom. Cane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. King looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Cane has picked King up and slammed him! King can't keep hold of the triangle and Cane manages to pass to side control! King prevents Cane from moving into mount. King takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cane is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but King is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Cane lands an elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. King tries to bench press Cane off him but Cane keeps the position. Cane grinds an elbow into King's temple. Cane wants to lay and pray for a moment but King keeps working. Cane tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Cane has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! King regains half guard. Cane content to control rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ground and pound from Cane.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. King is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cane pulls his head out easily. Cane seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Cane looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Cane controlling the action here. King looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Cane winds up and cracks King with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Cane wants to control but King is keeping him busy. King looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. King gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Cane moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cane lands a damaging elbow. Cane is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but King is keeping busy. Alistair King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! King ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. King no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. King looking for a guillotine here but Cane defends easily.
Quentin Cane is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. King can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Cane controls the pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Cane content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Cane trying to control the position from guard on top but King is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. King looking for subs off his back but Cane has passed one foot through into half guard.

And that's the end of the fight! Quentin Cane showed his dominance in that final round. Well Cane has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
