Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Robin Tyson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mike Jones ! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tyson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Jones with a nice cross. Jones throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
It looks like Robin Tyson has been cut. Jones lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Tyson. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Jones misses. Jones misses with a few strikes there.
Jones throws a nice looking combination but Tyson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Jones misses with a hook to the body
and Tyson counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Jones !
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to improve his position. Jones wants to get back to his feet but Tyson drags him back down. Tyson decides to take the fight back to the feet. Jones lands a jab. Tyson avoids a punch combination nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson is trying to pull guard but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones swings wildly with an uppercut but Tyson uses good head movement to avoid it. Tyson blocks the elbow strike.
Tyson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Jones just stands there and leans against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Robin Tyson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tyson tries to pull guard but Jones forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Jones 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Jones throws a lazy head kick and Tyson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Tyson.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tyson cracks Jones with a solid left hand. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tyson's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Jones wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Tyson is now in half guard. Tyson drops an elbow to the side of Jones 's head. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Tyson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Jones has managed to free his arm - good work. Tyson throwing shots but Jones is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones looks like he's trying to stand up.
Jones wants to get back to full guard but Tyson has passed into side control. Tyson has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Tyson shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jones throws out a loose jab but Tyson uses good head movement to avoid it. Jones throws a head kick but Tyson moves out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Jones dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robin Tyson's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
A low kick from Jones is predictable there and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Jones has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Jones is trying to control but Tyson passes into side control!

Jones is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tyson is controlling him well. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jones tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Tyson presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Jones tries to reverse the position but Tyson maintains control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson avoids the attempt from Jones to control. Tyson get's back to his feet. Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tyson moves away. Jones throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tyson counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Tyson is thwarting Jones 's attempts to control the position. Jones is breathing heavily. Tyson is trying to work for a kimura but Jones is defending well.
Jones looking for subs from the bottom but Tyson mounts him!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tyson working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Jones turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Tyson off and cradles Jones 's limp body as Tyson celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Robin Tyson!
