Coming up we have a featherweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Carlito Brigante and Walter Disney. Disney has chosen My Theme Song as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Walter Disney enters the cage!
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the featherweight division. Introducing today's competitors. The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Disney closes the distance and clinches. Disney jumps guard but Brigante turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Brigante tries to score a body lock takedown but Disney shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Disney is fighting off a takedown attempt but Brigante is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Disney to the mat. Disney regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Score +2 for takedown into guard / half guard: Brigante (2) vs (0) Disney Brigante looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Disney is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Disney bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Brigante's guard. Score +2 for sweep to guard / half guard: Brigante (2) vs (2) Disney Disney advances position into side control! Score +3 for passing guard: Brigante (2) vs (5) Disney Brigante is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Amsterdam Boxing Club that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Brigante trying to remain calm as Disney controls from the top position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Let's hope that Disney has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Disney is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. What can Brigante do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's ten minutes gone in the round. Brigante trying to control the position but Disney manages to sink in the hooks. Disney slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

And that's the end of the fight! Disney wins on points by 8 to 2. Our winner, Walter Disney, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans. Carlito Brigante was interviewed post fight and said 'Tonight Marc was the better man, but next time i will have my revenge'. |
