Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Allen Bick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Halifax (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Allen Bick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joe Halifax! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Topper Green and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bick shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Halifax defends it nicely. Halifax throws a big shot that misses. Halifax misses with a double jab.
Bick dives in for a single leg takedown but Halifax sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Bick doesn't succeed with the takedown and Halifax counters with a nice body shot. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Allen Bick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Halifax looks to throw the jab but Bick is out of range. Bick darts in looking for a takedown but Halifax gets double underhooks and turns Bick into the cage. Bick slips a jab and a cross from Halifax.
Halifax throws a hook to the side of Bick's head but Bick sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Halifax throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice sprawl there from Halifax as Bick shoots in. Bick shoots in looking for a takedown but Halifax manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Bick's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Bick tries to clinch but Halifax is having none of it. Bick shoots for a double leg takedown but Halifax sprawls well. He's pushed Bick's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Bick is breathing heavily. Halifax throws a big shot that misses. Bick lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Halifax circles away quickly and effectively.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bick fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Halifax avoids it really well and circles away. Bick avoids a punch combination nicely.
Halifax lands a glancing blow to the side of Bick's head.
It looks like Allen Bick has been cut. Halifax cracks Bick with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Halifax has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bick to stand back up!
Bick is rocked! Halifax fakes a right and follows up with a big left that drops Bick to one knee - oooooh, he's wobbly! Bick looks to clinch but Halifax throws him off and pummels him into the canvas! Bick taps out under the strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Joe Halifax!
