Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Booker Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Peel! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peel scores with a hook. Peel forces Potter back against the cage and clinches. Peel controlling the action here for a moment.
Potter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Peel just stands there and leans against the cage. Peel lands with a short head shot on the inside. Potter misses with some punches.
Potter jumps guard but Peel turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Peel fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Potter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peel walks away with a smile on his face. Potter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Booker Potter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Peel clinches.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potter taking a breather. Peel throws a punch but it's blocked by Potter. Potter jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Peel walks away with a smile on his face. Potter gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Peel dodges the punch combination from Potter.
Potter clinches up with Peel and pushes him back against the cage. Potter tries to pull guard but Peel won't allow it.

Peel misses with a short punch on the inside. Potter blocking some punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peel misses with a hook from the clinch. Peel working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Peel throws a head punch that misses. Potter really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Peel has Potter pressed against the cage.
A shot in the inside from Peel. Potter taking a breather. Potter jumps guard and drags Peel to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Potter striking off his back but it's not causing Peel any problems. Potter wants to stand but Peel is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potter is trying to keep Peel in close.
Potter wants to stand and escape but Peel is having none of it. Potter striking off his back but it's not causing Peel any problems. Potter will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Potter will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Peel wants to get up but he can't break Potter's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Potter wants to get back to his feet but Peel is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A cross from Peel lands.
Potter is rocked! Peel clinches with his opponent.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Peel creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Oh Potter is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Peel misses with a punch on the inside.
Peel swings wildly with an uppercut but Potter uses good head movement to avoid it. Peel lands a hook to the side of the head. Peel dips a shoulder and cracks Potter with a mighty uppercut! Potter falls back against the cage and Peel unloads with a barrage of strikes! Potter is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Peel screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sam Peel!
