Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Doug Hartt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pan Kovalskii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Doug Hartt has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Hartt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pan Kovalskii! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kovalskii slips a jab and a cross from Hartt.
Hartt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Kovalskii counters with a single leg into guard. Hartt didn't expect that. Hartt pushes Kovalskii off and scrambles back to his feet.
A right-left combo lands from Hartt.
It looks like Pan Kovalskii has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Hartt will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hartt looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Hartt throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kovalskii counters with a shoot takedown. Hartt fights it but they end up in guard. Hartt is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Kovalskii has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Hartt is trying to keep an underhook but Kovalskii manages to get the takedown into half guard. Hartt pushes Kovalskii off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kovalskii takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hartt fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hartt misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Hartt lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Hartt looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Hartt misses with a combination
and Kovalskii counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hartt kicks Kovalskii off and gets to his feet. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kovalskii slips a jab and a cross from Hartt.
And Kovalskii tries to counter it with a takedown but Hartt pushes his down on his head and steps out. Hartt is breathing heavily. Hartt misses with a few strikes there.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hartt swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kovalskii counters with a single leg into guard. Hartt didn't expect that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kovalskii drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kovalskii jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kovalskii is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Hartt is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Hartt has escaped and now he's on top!

Kovalskii looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Hartt has picked Kovalskii up and slammed him! Kovalskii can't keep hold of the triangle and Hartt manages to pass to side control! Hartt stands up. A punch combination from Hartt misses. Kovalskii is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hartt fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kovalskii manages to avoid it. Hartt misses with a double jab
and Kovalskii counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Hartt! We've been informed that Kovalskii has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Kovalskii prevents Hartt from escaping the position. Kovalskii is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hartt has escaped the position, nice work there. Hartt is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kovalskii has just dragged him back down to the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kovalskii working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Kovalskii is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hartt is trying to escape and Kovalskii transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hartt is forced to tap! Nice work there by Kovalskii! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Pan Kovalskii! During a confident post fight interview, Pan Kovalskii thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
