Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Cerrone! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kerr! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Wesley Smith and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cerrone darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
It looks like Mark Kerr has been cut. Kerr shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Cerrone defends it nicely. Kerr forces Cerrone back against the cage and clinches. Cerrone lands a hook that snaps the head of Kerr backwards. Kerr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Kerr tries to work over Cerrone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kerr tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cerrone's elbow. An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Cerrone. A short right from Cerrone. Cerrone lands a shoulder strike. Cerrone lands a left hand.
Kerr tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. A head punch on the inside from Cerrone fails to land. Kerr tries to work over Cerrone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kerr tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Cerrone's elbow. Cerrone is trying to force a seperation but Kerr has the dominant position. Kerr throws a punch but it's blocked by Cerrone. A short right from Cerrone.
Kerr is rocked! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Cerrone manages to break the clinch.
Kerr drops his hands for a split second and Cerrone immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Kerr face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Cerrone follows up with a right hand that knocks Kerr into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
