The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carrillo shoots in and gets a takedown into Trenchard's guard.
Trenchard has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carrillo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Carrillo is stalling in the full guard.
Carrillo would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carrillo throws a sloppy strike and Trenchard has hooked up an armbar on the loose arm! He's turned and extended fully! Carrillo is forced to tap! Great BJJ from Trenchard!
