The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ware is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Hollywood's half guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Ware not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Hollywood should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hollywood is controlling Ware's position as best he can from this difficult position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Hollywood is trying to get back to full guard. Ware thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Hollywood's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ware tries to stand and escape but Hollywood actually recovers to full guard. Hollywood is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hollywood working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hollywood seems to be working for a kimura but Ware defends the submission attempt. Hollywood is thwarting Ware's attempts to control the position. Ware is looking to improve his position.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hollywood lands a nice short elbow. Hollywood drops an elbow to the side of Ware's head. Hollywood is nestled in close to Ware, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Ware is rocked! Hollywood is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Oh Ware is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Hollywood takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Hollywood is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Ware is hurt! He's hurt bad - Hollywood fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Ware from any more punishment! Congratulations to Hollywood! Great finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Hollywood! A very excited looking Harry Hollywood made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
