Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, AnitaSosnie Baran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jurek Kiler! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Seu Braga and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baran shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Kiler as he jumps to the side. Kiler tries a quick counter leg kick but Baran is wise to it. Baran tries to clinch up but Kiler circles away and keeps his distance. Kiler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baran pinned against the cage. Baran gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Baran shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Baran missing with the ground and pound from half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baran not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kiler gets full guard. Baran really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baran is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kiler wants to stand up but Baran is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Baran slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Baran displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kiler. Baran seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Baran manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kiler on his heels. He'll look to pass Kiler's guard now, I'm sure. Kiler pulls Baran in close to prevent any damage. Baran landing with the ground and pound. Baran working some strikes from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiler is trying to control the position but Baran postures up. Kiler lands a couple of shots from the bottom.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Baran gets to his feet - Kiler follows without any prompting. Kiler looks winded! Baran has a takedown stuffed. Kiler looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Baran gets the takedown into side control. Kiler can't do much from the bottom here. Kiler is looking for a sweep. Baran working away. Baran looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Baran is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Kiler has escaped the position, nice work there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
AnitaSosnie Baran dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Baran tries to sprawl but Kiler drives through with a takedown into half guard. Baran manages to escape and get back to his feet! Baran looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Kiler is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Baran is pressed up against the cage. Kiler has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Baran down to the mat. Baran avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Baran pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Kiler shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Baran manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baran is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Baran is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kiler controlling the position for now. Baran looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Baran. Baran trying to control from half guard but Kiler is working away. Baran stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Kiler leaves Baran with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kiler gets the takedown into side control. Baran throws Kiler to one side and escapes!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Baran wants to clinch and Kiler connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Baran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kiler avoids it really well and circles away. Kiler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Baran as he jumps to the side. Baran is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Kiler. Baran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kiler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baran goes for a double leg but Kiler avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kiler continues to drive forward. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for AnitaSosnie Baran. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kiler fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kiler closes the distance and clinches. Baran is trying to trip Kiler. He has hold of a leg but Kiler is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Baran persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Kiler has his feet on Baran's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Kiler darts in looking for a takedown but Baran gets double underhooks and turns Kiler into the cage. Kiler stuffs the takedown attempt from Baran. Baran gets slowly back to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Baran is defended easily by Kiler. Baran avoids the head kick by Kiler.
Baran drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kiler sprawls and moves away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that AnitaSosnie Baran will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Baran slaps away a takedown attempt from Kiler, before circling back to the center of the mat. Baran darts in and clinches Kiler up against the cage. Kiler wants to break the clinch but can't.

Kiler has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Baran clear over his head and slammed him to the mat! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Baran staying busy and making it hard for Kiler to control. Kiler is trying to stick to Baran's back but Baran is turning into Kiler. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kiler's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Baran. Kiler takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baran trying to control the position from guard on top but Kiler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kiler wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Baran is now in half guard. Baran is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kiler sees it coming and defends easily. Baran controlling the pace. Baran prevents Kiler from improving his position. Baran decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Baran fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kiler avoids it really well and circles away. Baran closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Kiler did well to prevent Baran getting side control. Baran prevents Kiler from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kiler actively working from the bottom here. Kiler wants to get back to full guard but Baran has passed into side control. Kiler is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Baran stands up and beckons Kiler to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Baran circles away from the clinch attempt.
Baran tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kiler swats him away and circles back towards the center. Baran has Kiler up against the cage in a clinch.
Baran pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Baran tries to sprawl but Kiler drives through with a takedown into half guard. Kiler is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Baran manages to get to full guard. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kiler gets to his feet - Baran follows without any prompting.
And that's the end of the fight! AnitaSosnie Baran showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Baran, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
