Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tony Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Rutger Hauer!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Hauer manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Wilson keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Wilson jumps guard but Hauer turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Wilson tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Hauer avoids it.
Hauer manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Hauer tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Wilson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Wilson tries to pull guard but Hauer forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Wilson keeps control of Hauer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Hauer is controlling him.
Hauer connects with a nasty looking knee right to Wilson's face.


It looks like Tony Wilson has been cut.

Hauer turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Wilson is looking to regain half guard here but Hauer keeps moving and retains side control.
Hauer lands an elbow.
Hauer is looking to take a break and control but Wilson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hauer tries to stand but Wilson is controlling his head.

You can see the frustration on Wilson's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Hauer swings around for an armbar but Wilson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Hauer's guard.

Hauer is looking for a triangle but Wilson pushes his legs off easily.

Hauer is looking to stand up but Wilson isn't so interested in that idea.

Hauer is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Hauer wants to stand but Wilson is controlling the position.

Wilson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Hauer wants to get back to his feet but Wilson passes into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hauer tries to get to full guard but Wilson has control of the leg.
Hauer wants to stand back up but Wilson manages to pass into side control.

Wilson is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hauer has escaped the position, nice work there.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

That was a close round but I would say that Tony Wilson will probably get the nod.

A frustrated look appears on Hauer's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Wilson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hauer is trying to push Wilson away but Wilson has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Hauer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Wilson jumps guard but Hauer stands there with Wilson around his waist. Wilson gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Rutger Hauer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Wilson. No joy for Hauer on that attempt.

Rutger Hauer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Wilson is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Hauer.

Hauer has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wilson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wilson showed some decent athleticism there.

Wilson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Hauer has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Hauer!

Hauer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Wilson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hauer has managed to get both his arms back between Wilson's legs - danger averted.

Hauer throws a big elbow that misses.
Wilson is looking to stand up but Hauer isn't so interested in that idea.
Tony Wilson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Wilson has his feet on Hauer's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Hauer has managed to clinch.
Wilson is trying to pull guard but Hauer has him pressed against the cage.

Hauer lands a hook that snaps the head of Wilson backwards.

Hauer shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Wilson sprawls well. Wilson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Hauer gets slowly back to his feet.
Wilson fires out a quick counter leg kick but Hauer just manages to avoid it.

Hauer blocks a body shot from Wilson.
Wilson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hauer just stands there and leans against the cage.

I think Hauer has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
