Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Eli Takesian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Luca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
26 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eli Takesian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 17 - 3, fighting out of New York, Johnny Luca!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luca on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A big left from Takesian misses.
Luca moves away from the strike by Takesian.
Luca cracks the inside of Takesian's front leg.
A head kick misses from Luca.
Takesian tries to close the distance and clinch but Luca swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

and Luca cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

and Takesian counters with a nice uppercut.

Takesian clinches up with Luca and pushes him back against the ropes.

Takesian fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Luca.
Luca closes the distance and pushes Takesian back into the ropes.
Luca's coach down at Lovelair Muay Thai/MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Luca's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Luca wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Luca lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Luca does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Takesian tries to land a front kick but Luca steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Luca displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takesian throws out the jab.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Takesian is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Luca looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Takesian tries to clinch but Luca is having none of it.

Takesian lunges at Luca with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Luca's hand.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Takesian throwing a counter right hand but Luca manages to avoid it.
Takesian uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Luca walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Takesian rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Luca has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Luca is rocked!
Takesian throws a lazy right hand but Luca sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Luca is still on wobbly legs! Can Takesian finish him?

Takesian tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Luca counters with a left and a right that stings Takesian.
Luca seems to have recovered his senses.
Luca avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

It looks like Eli Takesian has been cut.
Takesian throws the left hand but Luca avoids the punch easily.

Eli Takesian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Takesian cracks Luca with a right hand to the side of the head.
Luca tries to get into range but Takesian steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Luca! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Takesian scores the big KO victory!
