Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jeffrey Luke (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stump Whacker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffrey Luke! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Stump Whacker! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Daniel Bishop.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Luke throws a sloppy head kick and Whacker moves out of range easily. Whacker is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Whacker shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Luke's guard. Whacker wants to control from the top but Luke keeps moving. Whacker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Whacker pushes down on Luke's leg and manages to get into half guard. Whacker is looking to take a break and control but Luke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Whacker is looking to advance position but Luke won't allow it. Luke slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Whacker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Whacker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Luke controls Whacker momentarily but Whacker frees himself. Whacker is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Luke is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Luke has escaped and now he's on top!
That's one minute gone in the round. Luke won't allow Whacker to sweep him here. Luke wants to pass the guard but Whacker is keeping the position. Luke tries to stand but Whacker is controlling from the bottom. Luke working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Luke accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Luke wanted to stand there but Whacker had control of the position. Luke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Whacker tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Luke paws at him with a jab and circles away. Luke throws a head kick but Whacker moves out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Whacker clinches up against the ropes. Whacker is trying to stall.
Luke is looking to break free of the clinch but Whacker has double underhooks. Luke with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Whacker tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Luke just stands there and leans against the ropes. Whacker taking a breather. Luke with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

Whacker turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! Whacker is trying to get an arm triangle but Luke is defending well. Whacker looks gassed! Luke wants to get back to his feet.

Whacker wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Luke, who protects the arm well. Luke wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Whacker pushing down on Luke's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Whacker wants to control but Luke is keeping him busy. Whacker is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Luke is just riding it out for now. Whacker eventually gives up the hold. Luke pushes Whacker off looking to stand but Whacker dives back in and keeps control.

That's five minutes gone in the round. Luke manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Whacker manages to get himself to full guard.
Luke in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Luke sitting in guard here, content to control. Whacker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Luke throwing strikes from guard but Whacker blocks nicely. Luke chips away with some ground and pound. Luke stands and steps away. Whacker gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Whacker rushes Luke and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch.
That's six minutes gone in the round. Whacker misses with an elbow over the top. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Whacker blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Luke wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Whacker has him pressed against the ropes. Luke breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Whacker avoids the head kick by Luke.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Luke misses with a leg kick. The fight moves into the clinch position. Luke throws a knee to the head but misses.

Whacker gets caught flat footed, as Luke shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Luke is looking to stand up but Whacker won't let him. Luke preventing the sweep. Luke looking to pass the guard. Luke lands a couple of digs. Whacker working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Luke. Whacker looking for a sweep. Not yet Whacker, not yet. Luke wants to control from the top but Whacker keeps moving.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Luke swats away the attempt to clinch by Whacker. Luke looks to score with a jab to the body but Whacker is just out of range. Luke looks to clinch and Whacker counters by moving into the clinch. Luke prevents the takedown attempt.
Jeffrey Luke has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stump Whacker. Whacker wants to stall.

Luke keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. A low kick from Luke misses and Whacker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stump Whacker will probably get the nod. That's time! Luke's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

It looks like Stump Whacker has been cut. Luke looks to land a right hand but Whacker moved out of range. Luke throws a half hearted mid kick. Jeffrey Luke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Luke throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Whacker's head. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Luke fails to land with a series of punches.

Luke is holding on for now. Luke is trying to maintain the position but Whacker is very close to passing his half guard. Whacker is working for a kimura but Luke is defending it quite comfortably.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Luke, right into the meat.

And that's the end of the fight! Jeffrey Luke showed his dominance in that final round. I have no idea who won that fight. Let's wait and see whether the judges are as confused as me! Time for a split decision perhaps?!. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
