The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chizzle keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Valuev.
Valuev misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Chizzle seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Valuev lands a jab-cross combination.
It looks like Derek Chizzle has been cut.
Chizzle bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Chizzle is looking for a counter combo.
Chizzle defending well as Valuev loads up on a big left hand.
Chizzle lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Valuev misses with a left hand
and Chizzle counters by moving into the clinch.
Valuev breaks from the clinch.
Chizzle moves out of range of the strikes.
Chizzle feinted with a counter takedown.
The fighters circle momentarily. Valuev darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Valuev steps in with a hook that catches Chizzle right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Valuev follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Chizzle looks absolutely devastated.
