Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Clark Voorhies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Karate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Voorhies comes to the ring accompanied by Summer of 69 - Bryan Adams. Karate is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Shot Em'. Joey Karate acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Clark Voorhies! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Joey Karate! The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Voorhies lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Karate throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Karate lands with a shot to the body. Karate looks to land a right hand but Voorhies moved out of range. Voorhies fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Karate, pushing him back against the ropes. A shot in the inside from Karate. Karate lands an elbow inside. Karate lands an elbow that stopped Voorhies in his tracks for a moment. A hook to the body from Karate.
Karate lands an elbow that stopped Voorhies in his tracks for a moment. Karate lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Karate doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Voorhies escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Some bone on bone action there as Karate checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Voorhies moves away from the strike by Karate. Voorhies motions for Karate to come forward. Voorhies throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karate takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Voorhies goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Voorhies uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Karate.
Voorhies lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. Voorhies connects with an inside leg kick. Voorhies throws a nice looking combination but Karate bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Karate ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Voorhies throws a series of punches but Karate avoids them all with ease. Voorhies throws a leg kick but Karate sees it coming and checks it nicely. Karate avoids the head kick by Voorhies.
Karate tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Voorhies was well out of range. Poor timing from Karate. Karate thuds his right hand into Voorhies's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Karate is looking to clinch. Voorhies moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Karate clinches with his opponent.
Karate lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the ropes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karate content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Karate stalls. Karate continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up. A nice glancing elbow lands by Karate. Karate lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Karate keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Voorhies's efforts to push away. Karate prevents Voorhies from breaking the clinch. Karate creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Voorhies's defenses. Karate pushes Voorhies back against the ropes and lands a hook to the side of the head. Voorhies breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Karate. A nice glancing elbow lands by Karate. Voorhies blocks a body shot from Karate. Karate lands an elbow that stopped Voorhies in his tracks for a moment. Karate lands a body shot in the clinch.
Voorhies takes an elbow to the forehead. Karate doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Voorhies is trying to break the clinch but Karate is controlling him. Karate gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Karate doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Karate creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Voorhies's defenses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karate lands an elbow that stopped Voorhies in his tracks for a moment. A right handed body shot lands from Karate.
Karate lands a nice elbow from the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Karate lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Voorhies or not. Voorhies is breathing heavily. Karate digs a right hand into Voorhies's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Voorhies's gas tank. Voorhies is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the ropes. Karate keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Voorhies's efforts to push away. Voorhies tries to circle away but Karate has him pinned against the ropes. Karate lands with a right to the head. Karate lands a left hand.
Karate is leaning against Voorhies and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
That's five minutes gone in the round. A right handed body shot lands from Karate.
Karate lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Karate lands an elbow inside.
Voorhies is rocked!
It looks like Clark Voorhies has been cut. Voorhies is pressed against the ropes. Karate pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Voorhies! Two more big strikes from Karate and Voorhies crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 5:27 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Joey Karate! Joey Karate looked relieved post fight as he said the following; 'If you walked out to Bryan Adams, you deserve the type of beatdown I just gave him. This division is mine whether I have the belt around my waist or not.'.
