Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marquan Weatherspoon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinsuke Fujita (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Marquan Weatherspoon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shinsuke Fujita! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fujita tries to score a power double leg takedown but Weatherspoon sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fujita somewhat. Weatherspoon feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Weatherspoon has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Weatherspoon advances to half guard. Weatherspoon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Fujita tries to get to full guard but Weatherspoon has control of the leg. Weatherspoon seems to be working for a kimura but Fujita defends the submission attempt. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fujita has hold of Weatherspoon's hands but Weatherspoon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Weatherspoon wants to control but Fujita is keeping him busy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Weatherspoon lands strikes from half guard. Weatherspoon working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Weatherspoon looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Weatherspoon throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Weatherspoon working over Fujita with some ground and pound. Fujita looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Weatherspoon winds up and cracks Fujita with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Weatherspoon seems to be working for a kimura but Fujita defends the submission attempt. Weatherspoon tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fujita knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Weatherspoon lands a nice short elbow. Fujita has hold of Weatherspoon's hands but Weatherspoon slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. That's two minutes gone in the round. Weatherspoon gets the takedown into side control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Weatherspoon working the ground and pound from side control.
Fujita is rocked! Weatherspoon has knee on belly and moves into mount. Fujita is still in real trouble! Can Weatherspoon finish him? Fujita looks winded! The referee warns Fujita that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Weatherspoon putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! A big strike lands for Weatherspoon! That's really hurt Fujita and he's turned his back - Weatherspoon keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Weatherspoon jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Marquan Weatherspoon! Marquan Weatherspoon opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
