Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Noam Nystrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mitch Miletich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miletich ducks under a wild hook from Nystrom.
Nystrom is looking to clinch but Miletich is avoiding it.
Miletich feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Nystroms jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Nystrom misses with a hook
and Miletich counters with an inside leg kick.

and Miletich counters with a left to the body.
Miletich keeps the fight on the outside.
Miletich flicks out a counter leg kick but Nystrom steps away.
Nystrom walks into a jab.
Nystrom ducks under a wild hook from Miletich.
Nystrom is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Miletich.
Miletich moves out of range as Nystrom strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice leg kick lands there from Miletich.

Nystrom has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Miletich.
Miletich swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Miletich fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Nystrom has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Miletich has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Nystrom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Miletich doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Miletich lands a really nice looking cross but Nystrom seems unphased.

Miletich gets through Nystrom's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Nystrom creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Miletich is trying to pull guard but Nystrom has him pressed against the cage.

Miletich breaks the clinch.
Nystrom is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Miletich's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
A lazy left from Nystrom finds it's target.
Nystrom jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Nystrom throws a series of strikes that have Miletich backpedaling.

Nystrom moves in looking to clinch but Miletich pushes him off.

Miletich fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Nystrom looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Miletich uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Nystrom.

Miletich throws a hook but Nystrom avoids it easily.
Nystrom throws a combination that misses
and Miletich counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Nystrom throws a hook to the side of Miletich's head but Miletich sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Miletich lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Miletich steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Nystrom.
Nystrom is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Nystrom moves into range and connects with a jab.
Miletich plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Nystrom tries to clinch but Miletich moves out of range.
Nystrom tries to close the distance and clinch up but Miletich swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Nystrom throws a shot from downtown. Miletich moves away and avoids it.
Miletich bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Nystrom's head backwards.

Nystrom moves into the clinch.
Miletich has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Miletich.
Miletich misses with the head strike.

Miletich pulls guard.
Nystrom has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Nystrom gets to his feet. Miletich looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Miletich closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Nystrom is rocked!
Nystrom takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Oh Nystrom is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Nystrom tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Miletich paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Nystrom doesn't manage to clinch there - Miletich circles away.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Miletich.
Nystrom takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Miletich dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nystrom. That did some damage!
Nystrom throws a lazy right hand but Miletich sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A little jabbing left from Miletich on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Miletich is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Nystrom had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Nystrom misses with an uppercut
and Miletich counters with a massive hook, right on the button! He's out cold! Damn, that was naaaaaasty! Hopefully he'll be OK.
