Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Anthony (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Anthony's choice of entrance music: lts Good To Be Free. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Ray! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, David Anthony! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anthony moves into the clinch successfully.
Anthony successfully pulls guard.
Anthony is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Anthony decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Anthony swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Anthony clinches. Anthony jumps guard and drags Ray to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Ray looking to pass the guard. Anthony is looking for a triangle but Ray pushes his legs off easily.
Anthony wants to sweep here but Ray controlling him for the moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ray would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Ray trying to control but Anthony is working from the bottom. Anthony working a defensive guard here.
Ray has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Anthony manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anthony on the ground. Anthony lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ray hang on?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Anthony is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ray is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Anthony putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Anthony fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Anthony is in the full mount, landing strikes. Ray is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Ray tries to hold on but Anthony postures up. Anthony should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ray working to try and regain half guard.
Ray is breathing heavily. Anthony with the ground and pound from mount. Ray squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Anthony landing punches. Anthony lands with some strikes. Anthony with shots to the head and body - Ray looks very uncomfortable down there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Anthony dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Anthony gets a takedown into half guard. Ray won't allow Anthony to pass to mount. Anthony looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ray with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Anthony postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Ray to stand up. Anthony clinches. Anthony tries to pull guard but Ray won't allow it.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ray tries to close the distance and clinch but Anthony swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ray with a poor takedown so Anthony counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Anthony working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Ray's head. Anthony thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Ray working a defensive guard here.
Anthony gets to his feet - Ray follows without any prompting. Anthony drives through and clinches with Ray against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Ray turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Ray manages to end up in side control. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ray is looking to take a break and control but Anthony is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Ray laying and praying for a moment but Anthony takes advantage and regains half guard. Anthony actively working from the bottom here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Anthony has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ray is working away from the top position though. Ray seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Anthony has recovered full guard. Anthony throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Anthony throws a nice elbow from the bottom. Anthony is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Anthony takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Ray has a hand on Anthony's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Anthony takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Anthony working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Ray looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Anthony! Submission of the night perhaps?
