The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seery rushes Garner and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Garner tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Seery working aggressively here.
Garner has hold of one of Seery's legs. Seery is fighting the takedown attempt but Garner gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Seery can do anything to dispel that myth.
Seery can't keep his opponent in guard - Garner advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Garner is looking for a kimura but Seery is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garner to get the leverage.
Garner is trying for a kimura here. Seery looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Garner wins by kimura!
