Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Minoru Nakano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Malvin Mandi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nakano comes into the arena with Great Muta Concerto blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Minoru Nakano! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Malvin Mandi! The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nakano just misses with a punch to the body.
Nakano throws a shot from downtown. Mandi moves away and avoids it. Mandi slips a jab from Nakano. Nakano wants to clinch. Mandi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Mandi throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Nakano. Malvin Mandi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nakano throws a right hand that misses
and Mandi counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. No joy there for Mandi, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nakano connects with the punch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mandi tries to bum rush Nakano with a series of wild strikes but Nakano uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Nakano throws a lazy uppercut
and Mandi holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Mandi misses with the head strike.
Mandi blocks a body shot from Nakano. A short right from Nakano on the inside. Nakano fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nakano can't find room to land a body shot as Mandi controls the action.
Nakano letting Mandi take a breather here. Mandi blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Mandi prevents a body shot from Nakano. Nakano is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Mandi's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems. Mandi's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Mandi takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Mandi receives a warning from the referee for stalling. Nakano swings wildly with an uppercut but Mandi uses good head movement to avoid it. A short right from Nakano. Nakano holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Mandi controlling the action here for a moment.
Mandi tries to throw a body punch but Nakano avoids it by throwing Mandi back against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nakano misses with some punches.
Nakano makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Mandi is rocked! A head punch blocked on the inside by Mandi. Mandi is still on wobbly legs! Can Nakano finish him? Nakano misses with the head strike.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Nakano fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Nakano misses with some punches.
Nakano tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Nakano swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Mandi seems to have recovered his senses. Mandi misses with a hook to the ribs.
Nakano lands a right hand that snaps the head of Mandi backwards. Nakano misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Mandi is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Mandi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Mandi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! This has been an exciting period of action! Mandi stalls. Mandi blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Nakano working some nice short punches in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nakano working aggressively here.
Nakano dips a shoulder and cracks Mandi with a mighty uppercut! Mandi falls back against the cage and Nakano unloads with a barrage of strikes! Mandi is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Nakano screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Minoru Nakano! Our winner, Minoru Nakano, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
