Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dennis Nilsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Schilling (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dennis Nilsen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joe Schilling! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schilling throws a body shot but no joy. Schilling throws a low kick but it's checked well by Nilsen. Nilsen attempts a counter takedown but Schilling avoids it well and moves away. Joe Schilling seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nilsen throws a nice looking combination but Schilling bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Schilling let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Nilsen lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Schilling circles away quickly and effectively. Schilling throws a sloppy head kick and Nilsen moves out of range easily. Nilsen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Our spies down at at Killer Instinct ☠ inform us that Schilling has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Nilsen is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nilsen trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nilsen is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Nilsen stops Schilling from standing up.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. A head kick misses from Nilsen. Nilsen closes the distance and clinches up with Schilling, looking for a takedown. Nilsen pushes Schilling against the cage but Schilling circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nilsen looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Schilling is fending him off so far but Nilsen persists. Nope, Schilling circles away and we're back to standing. Schilling misses with a straight left. Schilling just misses with a punch to the body.
Nilsen throws a big counter combination but Schilling scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. Nilsen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Schilling has one foot on Nilsen's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Nilsen shoots for a takedown but Schilling saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Schilling raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Nilsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jab from Schilling. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Nilsen blocks a jab. It looked like Nilsen was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Nilsen will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Schilling throws a low kick but Nilsen moves out of range easily. Schilling throws a nice looking combination but Nilsen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Nilsen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Schilling sprawls and moves away. Nilsen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Schilling! Nilsen is trying to get an arm triangle but Schilling is defending well. Schilling is looking to get back to his feet here but Nilsen is keeping cool and he's managed to take Schilling's back.

Nilsen has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Schilling has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Schilling tries to escape the position.
Schilling is trying to get back to his feet but Nilsen has full control of the position and if anything, Schilling has just worked his way into a worse spot. Schilling is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Nilsen off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted. You can see the frustration on Schilling's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Schilling is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Nilsen slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

That was a close round but I would say that Dennis Nilsen will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nilsen looking to score a takedown here. Schilling is defending well but Nilsen drives through and ends up in Schilling's guard. Schilling looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Schilling tries to land a sweep but no joy. Schilling is looking to stand up but Nilsen isn't so interested in that idea. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Nilsen pushing down on Schilling's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nilsen not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Schilling is looking to escape. Nilsen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Nilsen is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Schilling is just riding it out for now. Nilsen eventually gives up the hold.

Schilling avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Nilsen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Schilling is pressing down on Nilsen's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Schilling keeping moving, preventing Nilsen from controlling successfully. He's got his arms around Schilling's waist but Schilling gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Nilsen off to one side. Nilsen fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Schilling avoids it really well and circles away. Nilsen darts in looking for a takedown but Schilling gets double underhooks and turns Nilsen into the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Nilsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Schilling connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nilsen. Nilsen circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Schilling lands a glancing blow to the side of Nilsen's head. A looping hook to the body misses from Schilling. Nilsen does a little dance to reset his feet. Schilling works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Nilsen with a poor takedown and Schilling counters with a nice body shot. Schilling fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Nilsen checks it well. This has been an exciting period of action! Nilsen showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Schilling.
Nilsen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Dennis Nilsen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nilsen tries for a takedown but Schilling circles away easily and Schilling counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Nilsen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Schilling.

Joe Schilling showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Schilling is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Nilsen rather than just go for the knockout. Nilsen checks a leg kick. A low kick from Schilling lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Nilsen has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Nilsen and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Nilsen feinted with a counter takedown. Nilsen fails with the takedown and Schilling cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Nilsen shoots in looking for a takedown but Schilling manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nilsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dennis Nilsen. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters circling - Schilling throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Nilsen ducks under a wild hook from Schilling. Nilsen feinted with a counter takedown. Nilsen doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nilsen takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Schilling just misses with a punch to the body.

Nilsen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nilsen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Nilsen wants to lay and pray for a moment but Schilling keeps working. Nilsen has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. Nilsen is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Schilling has escaped the position, nice work there. Schilling looks to move to half guard but instead Nilsen has passed into mount! Damn!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Schilling tries to hold on but Nilsen pushes him away. Schilling tries to improve his position but Nilsen has taken his back! Nilsen has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Schilling tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Nilsen pushes Schilling away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!
