PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Carol Pratt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Liker Milovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carol Pratt had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Carol Pratt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Liker Milovski!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Milovski moves into the clinch.

Milovski manages to pull guard.
Pratt sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Pratt with a flurry of punches that miss.
Pratt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Milovski looking to control.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Pratt wanted to stand there but Milovski had control of the position.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Pratt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Milovski is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pratt's half guard.

Pratt manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Milovski keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Pratt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Milovski just stands there and leans against the cage.

Pratt lands a takedown into guard.
Milovski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pratt looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Pratt has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Pratt lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Pratt not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Pratt seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Milovski for as long as he can get away with.
Pratt content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Pratt really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Pratt with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Milovski fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pratt to the ground. Milovski is now in Pratt's guard.

Pratt kicks Milovski off and gets to his feet.

Milovski dives in and scores a takedown into Pratt's guard.
Carol Pratt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Pratt is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Pratt is working Milovski over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Pratt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Pratt is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Pratt controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Pratt continues to stall.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Milovski is looking for a triangle but Pratt pushes his legs off easily.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Pratt closes this distance looking for a takedown but Milovski circles away.

Pratt moves into the clinch.
Pratt tries to pull guard but Milovski holds him up against the cage and eventually Pratt drops back down to his feet.
Pratt has Milovski pressed against the cage, preventing Milovski from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Pratt gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Milovski regains guard.
Pratt's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Pratt is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Milovski can do to turn this around?
Pratt's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Carol Pratt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pratt has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Milovski after a bit of a struggle.
Pratt tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pratt blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Milovski effectively controlling the action here.
Pratt lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Milovski backwards.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Pratt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Pratt working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Milovski's head.
Pratt is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Pratt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Milovski manages to get himself to full guard.

Pratt is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Milovski's half guard.
Pratt is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Pratt working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Pratt is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Pratt is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Milovski defends it well.

Milovski is trying to maintain the position but Pratt is very close to passing his half guard.

Pratt seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Milovski is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
