Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Federico Berger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Day's choice of entrance music: Psycho Killer. Charles Day acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Federico Berger! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Charles Day! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Alyssa Summers and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Berger tries to close the distance and clinch up but Day swats him away and circles back towards the center. Day closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Berger's guard. Berger has his feet on Day's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. A left and a right from Berger both land. Nice combination. Day scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This has been an exciting period of action! Day working the ground and pound from side control. Day tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Berger taking a bit of punishment here - Day scoring with strikes. Day grinds an elbow into Berger's temple. Day is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Berger is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Day looks up at the clock and then as Berger takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Day smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
That's one minute gone in the round. Berger manages to work his way to half guard, despite Day's best efforts. Berger is trying to control but can't.
Day working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Berger tries to get to full guard but Day has control of the leg. Berger gets full guard. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Day accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Berger is trying to control the position but Day postures up. Day throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Berger works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Berger keeping moving, preventing Day from controlling successfully. Berger trying to strike off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Berger trying to keep a closed guard but Day is proving a slippery customer.
Berger could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Berger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Berger looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Berger will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Day looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Berger won't allow Day to sweep him here. Berger decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Day gets a double leg takedown into Berger's guard. Day trying to control the position from guard on top but Berger is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Berger trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Day with a nice head shot there. Day lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Day throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Berger tries to land a sweep but no joy. Day with a flurry of punches that miss. Berger thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Berger trying to keep a closed guard but Day is proving a slippery customer.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Day working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Day connects with a couple of short punches. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Charles Day dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Day avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Berger doesn't succeed with the takedown and Day counters with a nice uppercut. Berger throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Berger misses with a takedown and Day counters with a big head kick but Berger shrugs it off.
Berger is rocked! Federico Berger is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Berger gets caught flat footed, as Day shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Oh Berger is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Day arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Berger's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Charles Day! Charles Day bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
