Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boris Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sausage McGriddle! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kane ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. McGriddle shoots in and bounces Kane off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. McGriddle with a flurry of punches that miss. Kane trying to control the position.

Kane has McGriddle pulled in close to control his posture. McGriddle in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Kane trying to control the position.
McGriddle with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Kane will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGriddle stands up over Kane, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Kane tries to land a sweep but no joy. My spies in Blackstar Striking Academy inform me that McGriddle has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Kane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

McGriddle scoring with punches to the head and body. Kane has momentary wrist control but McGriddle slips an elbow through the middle. Kane seems keen to control McGriddle's posture. Kane continues to stall. We've been hearing good reports from Kane's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. McGriddle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kane keeping moving, preventing McGriddle from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGriddle postures up and lands a big shot to Kane's brow. Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane is adopting a defensive guard. McGriddle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kane is keeping the position for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGriddle with a flurry of punches that miss. McGriddle is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. McGriddle preventing the sweep. McGriddle throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kane works some decent striking defense from the bottom. McGriddle scoring with some ground and pound. McGriddle distracts Kane with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGriddle working some strikes from top position. McGriddle throws a strike but Kane rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Kane stopping the sweep attempt from McGriddle. McGriddle pulls Kane in close to prevent any damage. McGriddle looking for subs off his back but Kane has passed one foot through into half guard.
McGriddle is trying to get back to full guard. Kane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round. McGriddle looking for submissions off his back. Kane stalling. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sausage McGriddle dominated that round. That's time! Kane's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
McGriddle tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kane defends well and McGriddle ends up having to push Kane into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. A punch combination from Kane misses. McGriddle has his takedown stuffed and Kane counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Good exchange - Kane coming out on top. Kane scores with a nice head shot. Kane is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Nice sprawl there from Kane as McGriddle shoots in. Boris Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sausage McGriddle. McGriddle tries for a takedown but Kane sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kane swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. McGriddle closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - McGriddle lands in his opponent's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGriddle trying to move into half guard but instead Kane has managed to sweep! Kane wants to control from the top but McGriddle keeps moving. McGriddle has his foot on Kane's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kane works his way back into a safe position though. Kane has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kane not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kane trying to control but McGriddle is working from the bottom. Kane got a little sloppy there for a moment and McGriddle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kane has managed to get both his arms back between McGriddle's legs - danger averted. McGriddle not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Kane wants to control from the top but McGriddle keeps moving. McGriddle is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGriddle wants to sweep here but Kane controlling him for the moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McGriddle is trying to hold Kane in close to prevent damage but Kane has managed to pass into half guard.
Kane is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
McGriddle is trying to maintain the position but Kane is very close to passing his half guard. Kane frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Kane controlling his opponent. Kane looking to control but McGriddle is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGriddle tries to hold on but Kane postures up. McGriddle is trying to escape the mount.
McGriddle is still trying to improve position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane fails to advance to McGriddle's back. McGriddle wants to control but Kane is having none of it. Kane trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. McGriddle wants to hold on but Kane pushes him away. Kane can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as McGriddle is looking to escape. Kane controlling from the full mount. McGriddle wants to control but Kane is having none of it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane moves to take his opponent's back. Kane trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.

McGriddle darts in looking for a takedown but Kane gets double underhooks and turns McGriddle into the cage. Kane seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. McGriddle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. As McGriddle looks to move away, Kane throws a big counter combo but McGriddle just gets out of the way. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from McGriddle. Kane throwing a counter right hand but McGriddle manages to avoid it. Boris Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sausage McGriddle. Kane scores with a spinning back kick! No luck with that takedown attempt from McGriddle. Kane is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Kane fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Kane fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with McGriddle, pushing him back against the cage. McGriddle is trying to drag Kane to the mat but Kane just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nice body punch from Kane. McGriddle takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Kane digs a right hand into McGriddle's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on McGriddle's gas tank. McGriddle looking for a takedown.

Kane looking to hit a scissor sweep but McGriddle is one step ahead there. McGriddle with a nice head shot there. Kane is pulling down on McGriddle's head. It's preventing any offense from McGriddle, at least for the moment. McGriddle postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Kane is trying to control the position from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kane is trying to control the position but McGriddle postures up. McGriddle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McGriddle postures up in Kane's guard and throws a big left but Kane blocks it. Kane is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kane tries to bum rush McGriddle with a series of wild strikes but McGriddle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. McGriddle shoots in and drives through. Kane sprawls well. McGriddle tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Kane lands with a nice combination. McGriddle backs away looking to recover. McGriddle scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Kane is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. McGriddle seems to be looking for submissions.
McGriddle wants to advance to full mount but Kane doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Kane is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that McGriddle can do to turn this around?
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGriddle throwing strikes but missing. Kane has control of McGriddle's left arm, preventing McGriddle from doing any damage. Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as McGriddle controls the pace. Sausage McGriddle has got the better of the ground game so far. McGriddle throws a big right hand that misses. McGriddle drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kane dives on top into guard. Kane is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kane won't allow McGriddle to sweep him here. Kane trying to control but McGriddle is working from the bottom. McGriddle throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Kane drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Kane jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane sitting in guard here, content to control.
And that's the end of the fight! Boris Kane showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kane has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
