Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kugimiya Masato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gero Kretschmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kretschmer has chosen 2Pac - Don't make enemies with me as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kugimiya Masato! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gero Kretschmer! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Hirohito Nitta and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Masato gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Kretschmer counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Kretschmer. Kretschmer throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Kretschmer pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Masato shoots for a takedown but Kretschmer saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Kretschmer displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Masato shoots in for a takedown but Kretschmer shows good takedown defense. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kugimiya Masato. That's going to take a lot out of him. Masato fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kretschmer avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kretschmer lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That's one minute gone in the round. A punch lands to the side of Masato 's head but he takes it in his stride. Masato fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Kretschmer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Kretschmer lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Kretschmer lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Masato tries to close the distance and clinch but Kretschmer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Masato shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kretschmer defends it nicely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Masato is defended easily by Kretschmer. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Kretschmer! But no joy. Masato takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
It looks like Kugimiya Masato has been cut. Masato looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Kretschmer lands a nice looking body shot.
Masato walks into a left hand. Masato throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kretschmer's waist but Kretschmer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Masato off to one side. Kretschmer now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kretschmer lands with an overhand left. Masato moves in looking to clinch but Kretschmer pushes him off. Masato dives in and grabs Kretschmer's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kretschmer pushes down on Masato's head and hops out. Masato fails with a takedown attempt. Kretschmer swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Kretschmer connects with the punch. Nice uppercut lands for Kretschmer. That snapped Masato's head back.
Masato fails with the takedown and Kretschmer counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Masato drops his hands momentarily and Kretschmer takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Masato is defended easily by Kretschmer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gero Kretschmer dominated that round. The cut man is working on Kugimiya Masato's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Masato fails with the takedown. Masato takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Kretschmer swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Masato. Kretschmer keeps the fight on the outside. Kretschmer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kretschmer with a hook. Kretschmer throws a right and a left that both miss. Masato shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kretschmer napping and manages to drive through into side control! Kretschmer wants to get back to his feet but Masato is dominant here and he's now got Kretschmer's back!
That's one minute gone in the round. Kretschmer is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

Masato has both hooks in and is working for a choke. Kretschmer is in real trouble here. Masato gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, Kretschmer is tapping out! Masato wins by rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Kugimiya Masato! After the big win, Kugimiya Masato made sure to do all the important stuff like thanking his sponsors SHINTO and telling the interviewer how much he loves him. Gero Kretschmer spoke after the fight, saying 'I would prefer even to lose with honor than to win by cheating.'.
