Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Castle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Castle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by In Time. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Smith! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Castle! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Castle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Horrible takedown by Castle or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad. Smith connects with a looping right hand.
A cross from Smith lands. Smith steps into range and cracks Castle with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Castle flops backwards and Smith dives into his guard looking to finish!
Castle is rocked!
It looks like Frank Castle has been cut. Castle wants to sweep here but Smith controlling him for the moment. Castle is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him? Castle throws his legs up looking for a submission but Smith uses it to pass to side control.
Castle seems to have recovered his senses. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Smith decides to stand up, so the ref orders Castle to his feet. Smith misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Frank Castle seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Castle. John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Castle. Smith loads up on a big right hand but Castle slips the punch. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Castle closes this distance looking for a takedown but Smith circles away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith stuffs the takedown. A jab from Smith does it's job there. Smith throws a head kick that misses. Castle steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Smith. Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castle sees it coming and avoids it easily. Castle shoots for a double leg takedown but Smith sprawls well. He's pushed Castle's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Smith misses with a double jab.
Smith scores with a jab. No luck for Castle with that takedown attempt. Smith throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Castle sees it coming and avoids it easily. Smith misses with a head kick.
Castle is looking to clinch but Smith is avoiding it.

Smith scores with a crisp jab that stopped Castle in his tracks. Castle shoots for a takedown but Smith saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Smith ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Castle has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Castle there as he acknowledges the shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Smith swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Castle. Smith is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Smith lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Castle circles away quickly and effectively. John Smith is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Nice sprawl there from Smith as Castle shoots in. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A right-left combo lands from Smith. A right-left combo lands from Smith. Smith stalks Castle and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Castle's face. Castle staggers backwards, shaken. Smith fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Smith lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Smith bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Castle's head. Smith lands a jab to the nose. Castle closes the distance and clinches up with Smith, looking for a takedown. Castle pushes Smith against the cage but Smith circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Smith is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Smith throws a series of punches but Castle moves out of range. Smith moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. A lazy left from Smith finds it's target. Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Castle backs up against the cage.
Smith dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Castle shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Smith but Smith pushes him off and we're back to square one. Smith throws a head kick but Castle moves out of range.
Smith is working the combinations to good effect here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Castle doesn't seem bothered though. Castle is trying desperately to land a takedown but Smith is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Castle. Smith smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Smith lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Castle backs up against the cage.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Castle. An elbow from Castle crashes against the mat.
Castle landing a few strikes. Castle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Castle has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Castle trying to control the position but Smith is working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith pushes Castle away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Castle gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. The ground and pound from Castle seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Castle tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Castle has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Smith controls the position for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Smith dominated that round. The cut man is working on Frank Castle's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Castle shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Castle loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Smith controls Castle momentarily but Castle frees himself. Castle passes Smith's right leg, so he's now in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Castle is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smith defends it well. Castle trying to pass the guard but Smith defending well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Castle passes to side control. Smith is trying to get back to his feet. Castle in side control, throwing shots but Smith defends. Castle looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Castle is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Smith knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Castle trying to control the position but Smith is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Smith sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Smith taking some punishment here, with Castle in his half guard. Smith on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Smith tries to get out of the position. Castle is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Castle wants to work for an arm triangle but Smith is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Castle pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Smith is keeping the position for now. Smith wants to stand and escape but Castle is having none of it. Castle trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Castle drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Smith manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Castle has Smith in his guard. Castle looking for a guillotine here but Smith defends easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Castle is looking for a triangle but Smith pushes his legs off easily.

Smith wants to pass the guard but Castle is defending well. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Smith in particular looking to stall. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Castle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Frank Castle's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Smith throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Castle. Castle shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Smith as he avoids it easily. Castle showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Smith.
Castle shoots in looking for a takedown. Smith tries to sprawl out of it but Castle keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Smith manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Castle throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Smith's waist but Smith gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Castle off to one side. John Smith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Castle. Castle shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Castle takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Castle shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Smith scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
A punch combination from Smith misses. John Smith is winning the standup battle so far. Castle fails to land the takedown. Smith throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Smith scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
That's one minute gone in the round. Smith punishes Castle's body with a nice straight punch. Smith scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Smith misses with a head kick.
Smith scores with a nice strike. Smith connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Castle momentarily.
No luck for Castle with that takedown attempt. Smith misses with a jab, cross combination.

Horrible takedown by Castle or perhaps it was just good defense by Smith which made him look bad. Smith lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Smith tries to bum rush Castle with a series of wild strikes but Castle uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Castle changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Smith tries to avoid it but Castle manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Smith to the ground. Smith escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Smith lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Castle shoots in but Smith avoids the takedown attempt easily. Smith keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Smith is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Castle. Smith throws the left hand but Castle avoids the punch easily. Smith tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Smith swats away the attempt to clinch by Castle. Castle looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Smith is fending him off so far but Castle persists. Nope, Smith circles away and we're back to standing. Smith's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Smith duly obliges. Castle looks for a takedown but Smith sprawls well. Castle walks into a straight right hand from Smith. Smith stuffs the takedown. Smith swinging wilding here.

Smith rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Castle moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Castle shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Castle was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Castle fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Castle pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Castle can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Smith is looking to escape. Smith is bucking up trying to escape but Castle cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Smith reaches up and holds on to Castle to control the position. Castle raining down shots from the mount! Castle is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Smith has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Smith wants to hold on but Castle pushes him away. Castle has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Smith's face.
And that's the end of the fight! John Smith showed his dominance in that final round. I think Smith has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
