Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Rewell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and El Pintos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

24 - 16 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, El Pintos! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rewell keeps the fight on the outside. Pintos shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Pintos takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Rewell scores with the left hand. Pintos knows he should have avoided that one. Rewell misses the jab. A looping hook to the body misses from Rewell. Pintos does a little dance to reset his feet. Pintos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rewell counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Rewell works Pintos's body with a nice hook. Rewell misses with a kick to the body.

Rewell lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Pintos is really struggling to land any decent head shots against his taller opponent. No joy there for Pintos, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Rewell lands with a slapping head kick. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Alexander Rewell dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
A cross from Pintos lands. Rewell misses with a hook. Pintos ducked under it nicely. Rewell misses with a low kick as Pintos jumps back. Pintos throws a jab but it's blocked by Rewell. Rewell's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Pintos connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Rewell scrambles back to his feet. Rewell scores with the left hand. Pintos knows he should have avoided that one. Donk. Rewell catches Pintos right on the button with a cross. Pintos digs a good hook to Rewell's body.
The fighters circling - Rewell throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Pintos lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Alexander Rewell. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Rewell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
