PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Artist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mack Ua (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Artist comes to the cage accompanied by Limp Bizkit / Break Stuff. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mack Ua!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Artist shoots in looking for a takedown but Ua manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Artist's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Ua lands with a hook. Artist tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Artist looks to land a combination but Ua avoids it well.

Artist looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Ua!
You can see the frustration on Ua's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
We've been hearing good reports from Artist's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Artist goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ua has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Artist but great work by Ua.

Ua lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mack Ua showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Artist's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


No luck for Artist with that takedown attempt.
Artist throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Ua's waist but Ua gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Artist off to one side.
Ua scores with a decent looking hook.


Artist is rocked!
Artist slips under a jab from Ua.
Oh Artist is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The Artist is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ua circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Artist to the canvas! Artist doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Ua keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mack Ua!
